A user is able to perform certain actions depending on what role(s) are assigned by an Admin user of their organization. This is done in coordination with the Clarivate Operations Team, as they are responsible for updating our fulfilment system accordingly.
These roles enable a user to access features of the application related to the work required to be carried out in CSP. Please refer to our fulfilment system user guide for further details regarding creating user accounts and assigning user roles.
The following user roles can be applied to each user by the Clarivate Operations Team in our fulfilment system:
-
Instructions (Reminders feature)
- This role provides a user with access to the Reminders feature. It allows users to instruct
services that are at a ‘Reminded’ ‘Workflow status’ in our fulfilment system. The timing of
when services are available are depending on the customer’s Reminder Settings in our
fulfilment system and otherwise default to three months in advance of the due date. Users
cannot instruct services outside of this window in the Reminders feature.

Case creation (IP Rights feature)
- This role provides a user with access to the IP Rights feature. Users can obtain a cost
estimate and calculated next service due date, as well as calculations for all future services
for the cases provided by the user. The benefit of this feature is that users can obtain cost
forecasting without the need for the cases to be added to our fulfilment system. Although, IP
Rights does give the user the ability to add cases to our fulfilment system. A user can upload
a file or add case data manually. The request will add the cases to our fulfilment system
automatically and create services. Any discrepancies will be managed via a task by the
Operations team.

Portfolio maintenance
- This role provides a user with access to the Portfolio maintenance feature. It allows users to
instruct services which have not been reminded (i.e. not at a ‘Reminded’ ‘Workflow status’ in
our fulfilment system). Previously a CSP user could only instruct services that had been
reminded. Portfolio maintenance for standard users displays the next three months of
services that are due. The user can amend the service due date range to instruct services
outside of this three-month window, but only up to six months in advance.

Document centre
- This role makes the Document center feature visible to the user and allows them to
download documents listed, on-demand. Operations can upload a document within our
fulfilment system and associate it to a Client to make it visible to a user in CSP. The user can
then download a copy of the file. Receipts are not stored in the Document centre due to the
volume. A user can instead view and download receipts in the Case Details view.

Case Edit (Edit Case feature)
- This role provides the user with the ability to send case edits via a system request to our
fulfilment system. From the Case Details view, a user can activate edit mode, which allows
them to edit data in select fields. Once they submit the request, a task is created in our
fulfilment system for a member of the Ops team to make the relevant edit. If there are any
discrepancies, an Operations team member will contact the client user accordingly.
